V02 Testing

VO2 testing is the way to measure your cardio fitness & maximize your workouts. “VO2″ stands for “Volume of Oxygen” & it is the rate at which you consume oxygen. The test is performed using a graded exercise test at various intensities either on a treadmill or a bike.

The results from the test can be used to pinpoint your target heart rate for various workout zones. These workout zones are highly individual & will allow you to exercise at a level that will maximize your fitness goal, such as fat burning, endurance training or cardio strengthening.

Testing is beneficial for individuals at almost any level of fitness. Whether you are a beginner with the goal of losing weight or an elite triathlete trying to gain a competitive edge, you can get the most out of your workouts by knowing your heart rate training zones.


RMR Testing

Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR) Testing measures the number of calories you would burn if you were at rest all day & determines if your metabolism is slow or fast. It also identifies your unique target caloric zones & eliminates guessing at how many calories you should consume each day to manage your weight.

The RMR test is an important key to unlocking the mystery of your metabolism. It will show you just what is going on inside of your body. You will be able to eat the maximum amount possible & still loose weight.

Your RMR is measured with a simple, 15 minute breath test. During the test, the air you breathe is analyzed to determine how much oxygen your body consumes. You simply sit back, relax & breathe.

Body Comp Analysis

All VO2 and RMR tests include a body composition assessment with a Tanita scale that utilizes Bio-electrical Impedance Analysis. Simply step on the scale for a fast and accurate determination of your internal body composition.

Tanita professional body composition analyzers measures body weight, body fat percentage, lean body mass, hydration level, BMI and more.

Body composition assessment provides valuable information about your structural make-up, which can help determine ideal body weight. Standard scales measure total weight but provide no reference to lean mass or fat mass. Adults tend to lose healthy lean mass and gain unwanted body fat, even without an apparent change in weight.
